FAQ / ANSWERS WITH PROJECT BOUNDARIES

Answers that Show What Changes the Manufacturing Decision

These answers explain EverBen's company model, product routes, RFQs, customization, samples, quality evidence, packing, shipping and continuity without turning project-dependent details into universal promises.

Use the answer as a starting point, then identify the product family, use case, destination, quantity and present specification for a project-specific response.

01 / company and fit

Supplier model and product-route questions

Is EverBen a factory or a sourcing company?

EverBen uses a manufacturer plus sourcing-integration model. A useful response names each item's production path and assigns ownership for specifications, samples, changes, inspection, packing and buyer communication. Ask for facility relevance by product instead of relying on one company label.

Which product categories can EverBen coordinate?

The current site routes cover rainwear, industrial PVC and home plastic products, rain boots, hats and headwear, towels and cleaning textiles, promotional products, cargo control, and safety or outdoor products. Feasibility is screened against the exact material, construction and quantity.

Can one inquiry include several categories?

Yes. Separate specification and approval lanes can be opened for the items in a mixed brief, while account and shipment coordination remains connected. Each product keeps its own material, sample, evidence, revision and packing references.

How should I verify the proposed production route?

Ask where important operations occur, which facility or approved resource performs them, who controls substitutions and which samples or records demonstrate the route for the exact SKU. Company credentials alone do not establish product conformity.

02 / quote and MOQ

Quotation, quantity and commercial-scope questions

What information is needed for a quote?

Provide the product type, use, destination, drawings or references, material and dimensional requirements, build details, SKU quantities, authorized artwork, label and pack needs, evidence expectations, trade term and decision date. Clearly mark open fields so the response can separate confirmed facts from assumptions.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ must be confirmed per product and approved option mix. Material, color, component, decoration, tooling, process setup, SKU fragmentation, packing and current capacity all matter. A total order quantity may hide smaller color, size or artwork sub-runs.

Can I get a price from photos only?

Photos may support an early feasibility range when their limitations are stated. A production quotation normally needs measurable dimensions, material and construction decisions, quantity by SKU, customization, packing and destination scope. Any photo-based assumptions should remain visible.

Why do two supplier quotes differ so much?

They may price different materials, construction, decoration, sample work, testing, inspection, packing, freight or trade responsibilities. Compare inclusions, exclusions, assumptions, one-time costs, validity and deviations before comparing unit prices.

03 / customization and samples

OEM, ODM, artwork and approval questions

Do I need a tech pack to start?

A controlled tech pack makes OEM quotation and sampling clearer, but an early brief can start from drawings, a lawful reference sample or structured notes. EverBen should return missing fields and the evidence needed to close them rather than inventing specifications.

What is the difference between OEM and ODM?

OEM normally begins with the buyer-controlled product definition. ODM or co-development begins with an adaptable base or design direction. Either route needs written ownership, confidentiality, permitted reuse, approval and change responsibilities.

Can EverBen use my logo and packaging?

Provide artwork you own or are authorized to use, with color, method, size, position, orientation, label and packing requirements. Digital proofs and physical samples answer different questions; the approval route should match the product and decoration risk.

How many sample rounds are required?

There is no universal number. Brief completeness, product novelty, material availability, fit, construction, artwork and consolidated buyer feedback determine the route. Give each sample a defined decision purpose and record comments against one revision.

04 / quality and evidence

Inspection, testing and compliance questions

How does quality control work?

The project plan should define acceptance references and place incoming, first-article, in-process, final and packing checks at relevant risk points. Each checkpoint states method, timing, sample or lot, responsibility, defect consequence and release authority.

Which AQL does EverBen use?

Agree the sampling standard, inspection level, defect definitions and acceptance values around the particular product, destination and consequence of failure. A fixed AQL copied from another order is not a complete quality plan.

Can an inspection replace laboratory testing?

No. Site inspection can address appearance, dimensions, workmanship, function and packing under stated conditions. Chemical analysis, regulated safety and method-controlled performance may require qualified laboratory work. Each document supports only its named scope.

Which certificates can buyers request?

Company-level ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BSCI references can be reviewed for current entity, scope and validity. Product or destination requirements must be defined separately and matched to the exact model, material, method and market.

05 / packing and delivery

Packing, shipping and arrival questions

Which packing options are available?

Individual bags, sleeves, boxes, inserts, labels, barcodes, kits, assortments and export cartons can be discussed. The practical choice depends on product protection, sales channel, destination, handling, quantity, presentation and sustainability priorities.

Can multiple products be consolidated?

Coordination is possible when each SKU retains identity, release status, individual packing, count, marks and carton records. Consolidation should not hide different inspection, safety, destination or handling requirements.

Which shipping terms can be quoted?

Ask for the Incoterm and named place that match your buying process, plus included and excluded services. EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP shift responsibilities and are not comparable without the exact named point and current contract terms.

How is delivery timing confirmed?

Timing depends on specification closure, samples, material and component readiness, production processes, inspection, packing, capacity window and transport. A useful plan shows dependencies and dated milestones rather than one unsupported universal lead time.

06 / changes and continuity

Changes, reorders and exception questions

What happens if a defect is found?

First identify and contain the affected material or units; then determine scope and cause, assign disposition authority, record corrective action and complete the agreed re-inspection or release step. Suppliers should not silently lower the specification.

Can I change material or artwork after approval?

A change request can be reviewed, but it reopens the connected build, visual, functional, evidence, commercial, schedule and pack approvals. Record the new revision, sample or proof and buyer approval before it enters production.

Will a reorder be identical to the previous order?

A reorder should begin from retained approved references, then verify material, component, process, artwork, packing and evidence availability. Any discontinued input, new facility, revised requirement or requested improvement needs visible change control.

What should I do if goods arrive damaged or different?

Preserve cartons, labels, quantities, photos, lot or SKU identity and a clear description of the observed condition. Notify the project contact promptly so scope, handling records, inspection evidence and the appropriate commercial or corrective route can be reviewed.

06A / records and decision control

Document, approval and handoff questions

Which document should control production?

Use one identified specification and revision as the production reference, supported by the approved sample, artwork, color and packing records named in the order. Conflicting messages or older files should be resolved before release. The control record should also show who may approve a deviation and how the accepted change is communicated to production and inspection.

How should buyers record an approval?

State exactly what is approved, the file or physical sample identity, revision, date, conditions and any remaining exceptions. A general message such as looks good can leave size, material, artwork position or packing unresolved. Link the approval to the next activity it authorizes, such as tooling, material booking or production.

What evidence should travel with a shipment?

The useful set depends on product and destination, but may include commercial documents, packing lists, carton or lot identity, agreed inspection records, test reports and approved-deviation records. Every document should identify its product, revision, date and scope so a buyer can distinguish order evidence from general company information.

How are open questions prevented from becoming assumptions?

Maintain an open-item list with the question, owner, due decision, affected SKU and consequence of delay or change. The quotation and sample record should label provisional choices clearly. Before production release, close each critical item or document the buyer-approved assumption and the conditions under which it remains valid.
